How many sides, and how many trays
We plan three sides for a hot meal with one main, and two sides if you have two mains. Each tray serves about 20, so one tray per 20 guests.
- 20 guests: 3 trays, one of each.
- 40 guests: 6 trays, two of each.
- 60 guests: 9 trays, three of each.
- 100 guests: 15 trays, five of each.
Cost for 40, three ways
Before 9.25% sales tax, two trays of each:
- Comfort: Mashed Potatoes, Buttered Fresh Green Beans, Baked Macaroni & Cheese: 2 x $49 + 2 x $49 + 2 x $59 = $314.
- Picnic: Potato Salad, Creamy Cole Slaw, BBQ Baked Beans: 2 x $49 + 2 x $55 + 2 x $49 = $306.
- Light: Tossed Mixed Greens, Classic Caesar Salad, Thyme Roasted New Potatoes: 2 x $49 x 3 = $294.
Add Fresh Homemade Bread for two trays, 2 x $11.99 = $23.98.
Pairing
For a hot meal, put a creamy side, a green side and a starch on the table so the plate does not look beige. Some matches that work:

Keeping hot sides hot
Potatoes, mac and cheese and green beans are hot trays. Chafing Dish Sets are $17 per hot dish and yours to keep. Order 3 hot sides and the dishes are $51.
The buffet option
