Catering in St. Charles, IL

St. Charles is the northernmost Fox River town we deliver to, twenty-three miles from our kitchen up Route 31 or Randall Road, where Route 64 crosses the river at Main Street. Delivery is $50, so St. Charles orders tend to be real parties: rehearsal dinners, showers, anniversary dinners and company lunches on the west side along Randall Road.

What to know before you order

Honest math on the $50 fee

The $50 is a flat charge for any St. Charles address, whatever the order size. On a buffet for 50 at $18.99 per person it is about a dollar a head. On two platters for a dozen people it is a big share of the bill, and you may be better off picking up at our kitchen in Yorkville. We would rather say that than have you feel overcharged.

Rehearsal dinners and anniversary dinners

For a dinner at home or in a rented room, Buffet Menu 2 at $19.99 per person has chicken française, chicken saltimbocca, sautéed pork tenderloin with peppers and onions and sliced roast turkey with sage stuffing (see Buffet Menu 2). Menu 3 at $20.99 adds carved sirloin with natural jus and baked filet of cod, with salmon or brisket for $1.50 more (see Buffet Menu 3). Carving in front of your guests is $150. Servers are $35 per hour with a four-hour minimum plus a 20% service charge; book two weeks ahead.

Showers in St. Charles

The Shower Package is $21.99 per person: croissant sandwiches with three fillings, tropical bowtie Caesar, pinwheels, a spinach bread bowl and a fruit display with crudites. Plates, napkins and silverware for it are $2.40 per person. For a couples shower, a hero sandwich platter swaps in for $1.99 per person more.

Lunch for the west side business parks

For offices along Randall Road and Route 64 west of the river, boxed lunches are $14.50 and $16.50 with a 20-box minimum and three days' notice (see Boxed Lunches). For a larger lunch where the $50 fee makes more sense, a hot tray spread works (see Entrées & Sides by the Tray): beef brisket at $150 for the large tray, herb roasted chicken at $80 for 20 pieces, garlic mashed potatoes at $52, buttered fresh green beans at $49 and fresh homemade bread at $11.99 for 20.

“My wife and I had Upper Crust for our wedding. They did an absolutely fantastic job! Extremely professional, great communication, fantastic food, great service, and they are very willing to do the little details if needed (flexible!). They made us feel less stressed, we could trust them, and we feel like we received great value for the price we paid. I would recommend this caterer to anyone!!”

“We had some catering done by Upper Crust for our son's high school graduation. We had used them previously for a wedding reception as well. The food is always excellent and there were so many people who said how good it was. I have always been impressed with this company. They are kind and courteous and will always answer all your questions. Great job!!!”
