Our kitchen is at 109 East Hydraulic Avenue in downtown Yorkville, a block from the Fox River and just off Route 47. If you live in town you can pick your order up at the kitchen and skip the $40 delivery charge, or we bring it to your house, church hall or park pavilion and set it out. Family and veteran owned, cooking here since 2003.
Yorkville is home, so we see every kind of event here. Graduation parties fill late May and early June, and the same few Saturdays book fast. Funeral luncheons at a church hall or a family home come up on short notice. Kendall County offices and the businesses along Route 47 and Route 34 call for boxed lunches and breakfast.
For a graduation party of 40, the usual order is Buffet Menu 1 at $18.99 per person (see Buffet Menu 1): two entrees, three sides and a bread. Pulled pork, baked mostaccioli and pan fried chicken go first. Chafing dishes are $17 per hot dish and plates, napkins and silverware $1.50 per person.
Because the kitchen is in town, pick-up is the easy choice for a lot of Yorkville orders. Trays travel well (see Entrées & Sides by the Tray): a large baked mostaccioli is $75 and serves about 20, BBQ pulled pork is $95 with slider buns at $12 for 24, and tossed mixed greens are $49. Delivery anywhere in Yorkville is $40 and we set the buffet out. For a staffed party, servers are $35 per hour with a four-hour minimum; they keep the buffet full, clear tables and pack your leftovers.
Our Thanksgiving Dinner is $22.99 per person with a minimum of six (see Thanksgiving Dinner): roasted turkey breast, whipped potatoes with giblet gravy, sage stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin swirls, ready to reheat at home. Order by November 19 and pick it up at the kitchen on November 25. A whole pumpkin pie is $16.99.
When a family calls after a loss, we keep it simple. Pick a warm buffet, tell us the church hall or the house, and we deliver and set it out, often on a day or two of notice (see Funeral luncheons). Herb roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans is the quiet menu most families choose.
