Wedding catering that lets you enjoy your own party

Since 2003 we have catered weddings from backyard ceremonies to 400-guest receptions. Homemade food, professional staff, and one planner who works with you from the first tasting to the last packed-up leftover.

What wedding catering costs

Our buffets are priced per person and include two entrées, three sides and bread:

On top of the food, a staffed wedding carries: servers at $35 per hour each with a four-hour minimum; a 20% service charge, shared with the whole team; a $50 minimum event production fee; On-site Carving at $150 if you want a chef carving sirloin, ham or turkey; and 9.25% sales tax. Plates, napkins and silverware are $1.50 per person if you use our disposable settings.

Sample menu: 100 guests on Buffet Menu 3

Food: 100 x $20.99 = $2,099. On-site carving: $150. Four servers for five hours: 4 x 5 x $35 = $700. Place settings: $150. That is $3,099 before the 20% service charge, the event production fee, delivery and 9.25% tax. Your quote shows every line.

Sample menu: 60 guests on Buffet Menu 2

Food: 60 x $19.99 = $1,199.40, or $19.99 a person. Staff, service charge, settings, delivery and tax are added on the quote.

Cocktail hour and dessert

Passed or set-out hors d'oeuvres from the platters menu (see Hors d'oeuvres & Platters): Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus Spears $74 for 60, Bruschetta with Garlic Toast Points $45 for 60, Jumbo Chilled Shrimp $95 for 60, Bacon Wrapped Dates $74 for 40. For a sweet table alongside the cake, Chocolate Covered Strawberries are $69 and Chocolate Drizzled Mini Cream Puffs $45 for 50.

How we work with you

1. Tasting. Come to the kitchen, see the facilities and taste through your menu with our planner.

2. Quote. Every line is on it: food, staff, service charge, carving, settings, delivery, tax.

3. Deposit. 20% of the estimated cost holds your date and is non-refundable. The balance is due seven days before the wedding.

4. Final count. We confirm numbers and dietary notes with you before the week of.

5. The day. Our team sets up, serves, clears and packs your leftovers for you to take home.

Staffed events need at least 14 days' notice, and May, June, September and December weekends book far earlier than that.

What weddings clients said

Jun 18, 2021

“My wife and I had Upper Crust for our wedding. They did an absolutely fantastic job! Extremely professional, great communication, fantastic food, great service, and they are very willing to do the little details if needed (flexible!). They made us feel less stressed, we could trust them, and we feel like we received great value for the price we paid. I would recommend this caterer to anyone!!”
