Upper Crust Catering started in 2003 with one oven, one van and a simple idea: catering should taste like someone cooked it for you. 23 years and a few thousand events later, the idea has not changed. The van count has.
We are a family business and a veteran-owned one, and both show up in how we work. Family means the owner is in the kitchen, tastes the sauce and answers the phone. Veteran means the day runs on a plan: a timeline for every event, a checklist for every van, and a back-up for the things that go wrong at a wedding whether anyone plans for them or not.
Our kitchen is at 109 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville, a block from the Fox River in downtown Yorkville. It is a real production kitchen, licensed and inspected, big enough for a 2,000-guest gala and small enough that the same cook who roasted your chicken packs it into the carrier.

Stocks, sauces, dressings and bread are made in our kitchen. If a shortcut would change the taste, we do not take it.
The person who quotes your event is the person who is on the phone the morning of. No hand-offs, no re-explaining.

We plan the route the night before and the driver texts when they are five minutes out. Hot food arrives hot.
