“My wife and I had Upper Crust for our wedding. They did an absolutely fantastic job! Extremely professional, great communication, fantastic food, great service, and they are very willing to do the little details if needed (flexible!). They made us feel less stressed, we could trust them, and we feel like we received great value for the price we paid. I would recommend this caterer to anyone!!”

Catering in Geneva, IL
Geneva is the Kane County seat, twenty miles from our kitchen on the Fox River, with Third Street shops, a Metra station and Swedish Days every June. It is the first town in our $45 delivery band. What Geneva orders is mostly celebrations at home: bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, holiday open houses and anniversary dinners, with a hot buffet or a spread of platters.

What to know before you order
About the $45
Our delivery fees follow mileage. Geneva is a few miles past Batavia, so it is $45 rather than $40. The fee is the same for a $300 platter order and a $2,000 buffet, so it weighs least on a bigger party. We take Route 47 north to I-88, then Randall Road or Kirk Road up to Route 38.
Showers and brunches
For a bridal or baby shower, the Shower Package at $21.99 per person is a complete spread (see Shower Package): croissant sandwiches with three fillings, tropical bowtie Caesar, pinwheels, a spinach bread bowl with homemade dip and veggies, and a fruit display with crudites. For a Sunday brunch instead, the Basic Breakfast Buffet is $16.99 per person with eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and fruit, plates included; add ham steaks with biscuits and sausage gravy for $6.99 per person (see Breakfast & Brunch).
Rehearsal dinners and anniversary dinners at home
For a dinner where the hosts want to sit down, Buffet Menu 3 at $20.99 per person fits: carved sirloin with natural jus, chicken cordon bleu, baked filet of cod, and baked salmon with fresh herb sauce for $1.50 more (see Buffet Menu 3). On-site carving is $150. Servers are $35 per hour with a four-hour minimum and a 20% service charge; they set up, keep the buffet full, clear and pack leftovers. Staffed events need two weeks' notice; a drop-off buffet needs three days.
Holiday open houses
For a December open house, cold platters that sit well for hours make sense (see Hors d'oeuvres & Platters): smoked salmon with cream cheese and party rye at $80, an assorted cheese tray with crackers at $69 for 60, prosciutto wrapped asparagus spears at $74 for 60, and a hot tray of bacon wrapped dates at $74 for 40 in a chafer. For Thanksgiving, our dinner is pick-up only at the Yorkville kitchen, $22.99 per person with a six-person minimum, ordered by November 19 and collected on November 25 (see Thanksgiving Dinner). From Geneva that is a real drive, so plan it.

“Upper Crust just catered my daughter's bridal shower. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Staff was very professional, answered all of my questions and arrived on time for set up. I would definitely recommend Upper Crust catering.”
“We had some catering done by Upper Crust for our son's high school graduation. We had used them previously for a wedding reception as well. The food is always excellent and there were so many people who said how good it was. I have always been impressed with this company. They are kind and courteous and will always answer all your questions. Great job!!!”
