North Aurora sits on the west bank of the Fox River where Orchard Road reaches I-88, fifteen miles from our kitchen. We bring shower platters and rehearsal dinners to homes near the river, boxed lunches to the businesses along Randall Road and the interstate, and birthday buffets to the subdivisions west of Randall. Delivery is $40 anywhere in North Aurora.
From Yorkville the van takes Route 34 to Orchard Road and follows it north past Aurora to the I-88 interchange, which puts us in North Aurora without touching downtown traffic. Trays and boxed lunches need three days' notice; staffed events need two weeks. At fifteen miles, the $40 delivery is usually easier than pick-up.
For a bridal or baby shower at home, the Shower Package is $21.99 per person: croissant sandwiches with your choice of three fillings, tropical bowtie Caesar, pinwheels, a spinach bread bowl with veggies and dip, and a fruit display with crudites. For a couples shower, swap in a hero sandwich platter for $1.99 more per person. Plates, napkins and silverware for the package are $2.40 per person.
If you want to pick and choose instead, the platter menu is sold by the tray (see Hors d'oeuvres & Platters): pinwheel sandwiches $79 for 60, assorted finger sandwiches $89 for 60, seasonal fresh fruit display $74, chocolate covered strawberries $69, prosciutto wrapped asparagus spears $74 for 60.
Boxed lunches are $14.50 Basic and $16.50 Executive, 20-box minimum (see Boxed Lunches), delivered at the time you set with a text from the driver five minutes out. For a smaller team, a sandwich platter is $79 and a deli platter with buns and all the fixings is $95. A breakfast tray of bacon, onion and Swiss is $69 and serves 20 for an early meeting (see Breakfast & Brunch).
For a sit-down dinner for 20 to 40, Buffet Menu 2 at $19.99 per person fits a rehearsal dinner: chicken marsala, chicken saltimbocca, roasted pork loin with apple cider sauce, three sides and bread (see Buffet Menu 2). We set it up in chafers at $17 per hot dish. If you want someone to run it so the hosts can sit, servers are $35 per hour with a four-hour minimum.
