Route 126 runs from the south end of Yorkville straight into Plainfield, twelve miles door to door. That road carries our graduation buffets in May and June, boxed lunches to the offices along Route 59 and Route 30, and trays to the subdivisions on both sides of the DuPage River. Delivery anywhere in Plainfield is $40.
Plainfield has four public high schools, so late May and early June Saturdays are crowded with parties. If you have a date in that window, call (630) 553-9533 early (see Graduation parties).
For 60 guests the standard is Buffet Menu 1 at $18.99 per person (see Buffet Menu 1). Graduates ask for pan fried chicken, BBQ pulled pork and baked mostaccioli; pick two and add three sides and a bread. Chafing dishes are $17 per hot dish and plates, napkins and silverware are $1.50 per person. By the tray (see Entrées & Sides by the Tray), three pulled pork trays at $95 each, a large mostaccioli at $75, tossed mixed greens at $49 and a 7 layer salad at $89 cover a similar crowd.
Plainfield businesses order boxed lunches at $14.50 for the Basic and $16.50 for the Executive, 20-box minimum, three days' notice (see Boxed Lunches). Keep it to three sandwich choices for 20 boxes or four for more and you avoid a 10% charge. For a warm lunch meeting, a tray of chicken oreganato, which is gluten free, is $80 and serves 20, with classic Caesar salad at $49 and garlic bread at $19.99.
A lot of Plainfield parties happen in a subdivision clubhouse or a park district room. We deliver, set up the buffet with chafers and leave it ready. For 100 or more, servers are $35 per hour with a four-hour minimum plus a 20% service charge; they keep the buffet full, clear tables and pack your leftovers. Staffed events need two weeks' notice.
December fills with company parties and family dinners. Buffet Menu 2 at $19.99 per person brings sliced roast turkey with sage stuffing, chicken marsala and our famous seasoned pork chops (see Buffet Menu 2). The Thanksgiving Dinner is $22.99 per person, minimum six, ordered by November 19 and picked up at our Yorkville kitchen on November 25, Route 126 west from Plainfield (see Thanksgiving Dinner).
