By the Upper Crust Catering kitchen

Most catering trays from Upper Crust serve 20 people. Six entrées come in two sizes, for example Baked Mostaccioli at $45 or $75, and appetizers and desserts are sold by piece count, from 28 to 120 pieces a tray. Here is how each kind works so you can order the right amount.
Entrée trays that serve 20
These are listed as serving 20 people:
- BBQ Pulled Pork: $95
- Yankee Pot Roast: $125
- Chicken Oreganato: $80
- Herb Roasted Chicken: $80, 20 pieces
- Pan Fried Chicken: $80, 20 pieces
The chicken trays are counted in pieces. One piece per person is a light main. If chicken is the only main, plan more than one piece each.
Entrées that come in two sizes
These are sold in a smaller and a larger tray:
- Italian Beef Au Jus: $90 or $150
- Beef Brisket: $80 or $150
- Baked Mostaccioli: $45 or $75
- Meatless Mostaccioli: $39 or $65
- Baked Lasagna: $50 or $90
- Vegetarian Baked Lasagna: $40 or $70
We do not publish a head count for the two sizes here, because it depends on what else is on the table. Tell us your guest count and the rest of the menu, and we will say which size to order. A pasta tray next to a meat main goes further than one standing alone.
Sides and salads
Side and salad trays, such as Mashed Potatoes at $49, are sized for about 20. The Fresh Vegetable Crudités tray serves 25 to 30 and costs $59. Breads: Fresh Homemade Bread serves 20 at $11.99, Garlic Bread is 12 pieces at $19.99, and Dinner Rolls & Butter are $9.99 a dozen.
Appetizers: counts per tray
- Open Faced Mini Grilled Reubens: 28 pieces, $64
- Bacon Wrapped Dates: 40 pieces, $74
- Antipasto Kabobs: 50 pieces, $74
- Rumaki: 60 pieces, $64
- Bruschetta with Garlic Toast Points: 60 pieces, $45
- Cocktail Meatballs: 100 pieces, $64

We plan 2 to 3 pieces per guest per hour. At that rate a 60-piece tray feeds about 20 to 30 guests for one hour.

- 100 guests: five trays of each.
Trays have no minimum. Multiples are simple to price: 3 trays of Pulled Pork is 3 x $95 = $285, before 9.25% sales tax. Our tray size calculator and party food calculator do the math for you. For a sample menu, see how much food for 50 people.
Hot trays need heat
Trays that are hot stay warmer in a chafing dish. A set is $17 per hot dish, and yours to keep. See the trays menu and ask for a quote or call (630) 553-9533.
