Bridal shower brunch menu ideas: a catered menu for 20 to 40 guests

A bridal shower brunch menu works best with one savory hot item, fresh fruit, something sweet and a drink. At Upper Crust you can order the Shower Package at $21.99 a person, which brings croissant sandwiches, salads and sweet treats, or build your own from breakfast trays at $69 each. The tray menu below feeds 40 guests for $439.60 before tax, $480.26 with 9.25% sales tax.

Option 1: the Shower Package

The Shower Package is $21.99 a person, with croissant sandwiches, salads and sweet treats. Packages start at 20 guests, so a shower for 20 is 20 x $21.99 = $439.80 before tax. Open the menu page to see the exact choices.

Option 2: a breakfast tray brunch

For a morning shower, trays give you more control. Each breakfast tray is $69 and serves 20.

• Breakfast Tray: Bacon, Onion & Swiss, $69, serves 20.
• Breakfast Tray: Ham, Sausage & Cheddar, $69, serves 20.
• Breakfast Tray: Vegetarian, $69, serves 20.

Here is a full menu for 40 guests:

• Two breakfast trays, one Bacon, Onion & Swiss and one Vegetarian: $138.
• Seasonal Fresh Fruit Display, $74. Ask us to confirm the size for 40 when you order.
• Lemon Bars, $59 for 40 pieces.
• Chocolate Covered Strawberries, $69 for 35 to 40 count.
• Orange Juice, Apple Juice or Coffee, $2.49 a person for 8 oz, so 40 x $2.49 = $99.60.

Total: $138 + $74 + $59 + $69 + $99.60 = $439.60. Tax of 9.25% is $40.66, so $480.26, or about $12 a guest. The vegetarian tray means guests who skip meat still get a hot dish.

Option 3: a lighter spread

If the shower runs mid-morning and food is not the point, the Continental Breakfast is $11.99 a person and vegetarian. For 25 guests that is 25 x $11.99 = $299.75. Add coffee for the table: Coffee is $89 for 50 six-ounce servings. A step up is the Basic Breakfast Buffet at $16.99 a person.

Drinks without alcohol

We do not serve alcohol, so mimosas stay with you. What we do have: Iced Tea, Punch or Lemonade, $89 for 50 six-ounce servings with cups included, Coffee and juice. Punch in a bowl or dispenser looks right at a shower.

What to set up

We do not sell decorations or florals, so the table styling is yours. For serving, Plates, Napkins & Silverware are $1.50 per person, so 40 guests is $60. Hot trays stay warm in a Chafing Dish Set, $17 per hot dish.

Ordering and timing

Standard orders need 3 days of notice. If you want servers at the shower, that is a staffed event: 14 days of notice, servers at $35 an hour with a 4-hour minimum. How much food do I need for a bridal shower?

For a brunch shower, plan one hot item per 20 guests, a fruit tray, one or two sweets and a drink for every guest. Our 40-guest menu above is a good template.

Is there a vegetarian option?

Yes. The Vegetarian breakfast tray, the Continental Breakfast and all dessert trays are vegetarian. The Seasonal Fresh Fruit Display is vegan.

What is the minimum order?

The Shower Package starts at 20 guests. Trays have no minimum.

Can I get it delivered to the venue?

Yes, within our service area. Delivery is quoted when you order.
