Breakfast catering for the office and events: what it costs for 20 and how to order

For breakfast catering, pick a per-person spread or order trays. Continental Breakfast is $11.99 a person, the Basic Breakfast Buffet is $16.99 a person, and a hot Breakfast Tray is $69 and serves 20. Three ways to feed 20 people

The right format depends on how many people you have and how much work you want to do on the morning.

• Continental Breakfast, $11.99 a person. For 20 people that is 20 x $11.99 = $239.80. It is vegetarian and the easiest option for an early meeting.
• Basic Breakfast Buffet, $16.99 a person. For 20 people that is 20 x $16.99 = $339.80. This is the hot option when the meeting runs long and people expect a real breakfast.
• Breakfast Trays, $69 each, serves 20. One tray feeds a group of 20 on its own, with no per-person minimum on trays at all.

Per-person menus start at 20 guests. If your group is smaller, or you want to mix and match, trays are the way to go.

The breakfast trays

We make three, all $69 a tray and each serves 20:

• Breakfast Tray: Ham, Sausage & Cheddar
• Breakfast Tray: Bacon, Onion & Swiss
• Breakfast Tray: Vegetarian

For 40 people, order two. A good split is one meat tray and one vegetarian tray, so nobody is left with only one option. For 60, order three and make one of them vegetarian.

If you want something heavier, Ham Steaks with Biscuits & Sausage Gravy is $6.99 a person. It works well as an add-on to a tray or a continental spread when the team has been up since five.

A breakfast for 20 from trays, priced

Here is a full morning for 20 using one of each item:

• 1 Breakfast Tray, $69
• 1 Seasonal Fresh Fruit Display, $74
• 1 Coffee, $89 for 50 six-ounce servings

That is $69 + $74 + $89 = $232 before tax, or $11.60 a person for a group of 20. Add 9.25% sales tax. Coffee at $89 covers 50 servings, so it also stretches to a bigger group without another order. If you would rather serve juice, Orange Juice, Apple Juice or Coffee is $2.49 a person for 8 ounces.

For sweets with the meeting, add Cheesecake Squares, 35 pieces, $59, or Assorted Home Baked Cookies, 40 count, $45.

Setting it up

Trays arrive hot or cold, depending on the dish. For a trays-only breakfast with no staff, add a chafing dish at $17 per hot dish, which is yours to keep. Plates, napkins and silverware are $1.50 a person. Drop-off and pick-up orders carry no service charge. For big breakfasts such as a company all-hands or a fundraiser, ask about a staffed event. How much does breakfast catering cost per person?

From $11.99 a person for Continental Breakfast and $16.99 for the Basic Breakfast Buffet. Trays work out to $3.45 a person at $69 for 20, before you add coffee, fruit and tax.

How far ahead do I need to order breakfast?

Three days for standard orders. Staffed events need 14 days.

Do you have a vegetarian breakfast option?

Yes. The Breakfast Tray: Vegetarian is $69 and serves 20, and Continental Breakfast is vegetarian too. Our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts, so we cannot promise any dish is free of trace amounts.

Is there a minimum order?

Trays have no minimum. Per-person menus start at 20 guests.
